The Kyle (Lyrics)

I'm the ship you see aground at the head of Hr Grace.
I've been here since 67. Man, I ain't no disgrace.
Every inch of my hull is full of sweat and tears
From all of the memories I've held thru the years.

I was the tenth ship out of the Alphabet fleet
I was the fastest and the strongest. Man, I couldn't be beat.
I've been up and down the coast and back and forth.
They even gave me a nickname - the Bulldog of the North.

I am the Kyle I will not be forgotten.
I am the Kyle I will not fade away.
I am the Kyle I'm living history.
I am the Kyle. I am the Kyle.

I've carried passengers and cargo to the wild Labrador.
Took troops to be trained for the Second World War.
I even carried a doctor to the sick and the poor. Oh,
I am the Kyle.

Chorus

An iceberg couldn't bring me down;
No violent storm at sea.
It's not my destiny to die
Underwater silently.

Chorus

I stand proud and I stand tall here in Hr Grace.
I think God was the ghost who guided me to this place
So show some respect show me some pride
As I rest here with the gulls on the rising tide

Chorus
